Unsaturated polyesters are extremely versatile, being rigid, resilient, flexible, corrosion-resistant, weather-resistant or flame-resistant. It can be used without fillers, with fillers, reinforced or pigmented. It can be processed at room temperature or high temperature. Therefore, unsaturated polyester has been widely used in boats, showers, sports equipment, automotive exterior parts, electrical components, instrumentation, artificial marble, buttons, corrosion-resistant tanks and accessories, corrugated boards and plates. Automotive refinishing compounds, mining pillars, imitation wood furniture components, bowling balls, reinforced plywood for thermoformed Plexiglas panels, polymer concrete and coatings.

DS-229 is o-phenylene type unsaturated polyester resin, low thermal expansion during curing, moderate hardness, excellent impact resistance, suitable for casting with steel moulds without cracking, and used for bowling ball liners.
Unsaturated polyester resin DS-229 is packed in metal drum with net weight of 220KG, the storage period is six months at 20℃, elevated temperature will shorten the storage period accordingly, it should be placed in a cool and ventilated place, avoid direct sunlight and keep away from heat source, it is flammable and should be kept away from open flame.
